Inauguration of ZAC-GGM on December 18th 2006
   
   
  The Zhejiang University-Adinovo Center for Genetic and Genomic Medicine (ZAC-GGM) was inaugurated at Zhejiang University School of Medicine, on December 18th 2006. Launched by School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, the James Watson Institute of Genomics Sciences, and Beijing ADINOVO Gene Technology Co. Ltd, the center aims to establish a first-class platform that serves as a bridge between China and many developed countries to promote genetics and genomics in research, education and clinical medicine.

The distinguish guests attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Longchun SUN, ( Vice Chair of Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports, CPPCC and former Vice Minister of Ministry of Health); Shuzhong BAI, ( Vice Chair of Chinese Medical Association and former Director of Department of Health, Ministry of General Logistics, PLA); Guangchun WEN, ( former Vice Minister of Ministry of General Logistics, PLA); Yanfeng WANG, ( Chairman of China Health and Medical Development Foundation); Lanjuan LI, ( President of Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology and Director-General of Health Bureau of Zhejiang Province); Jun ZHU, (Vice President of Zhejiang University); Denian BAŁ¬(Dean of Zhejiang University School of Medicine); Wei ZHAO, (CEO of Beijing Adinovo Gene Technology Co. Ltd), Ming QI (Director of ZAC-GGM), and etc.
 
     
 
With a clinical base in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, ZAC-GGM was established as a multi-discipline institution consisting of a genetic and genomic clinic, ten core laboratories, and a bank of major diseases in the Chinese population. And it would provide services and collaborations with universities, colleges, institutions, hosptitals and other health care organizations.
