Third Hangzhou Symposium & Short Course on
Medical and Laboratory Applications of Genetics and Genomics

The Third Hangzhou Symposium & Short Course on Medical and Laboratory Applications of Genetics and Genomics will be held on ZiJinGang Campus, Zhejiang University, from Oct. 29th to Nov. 1st. The symposium and short course is a joint effort of the Zhejiang University-Adinovo Center for Genetic and Genomic Medicine, the University of Rochester, the University of Washington, the University of Miami and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Its objectives are 1) to strengthen the connections among bio-scientists in China and abroad, 2) to bring the basic konwledge and cutting-edge research of genetic and genomic medicine to practicing clinicians, investigators and other health care professionals, particularly on medical and laboratory applications of cancer genomics.

Several world-renowned experts at home and abroad will be presented both in the lectures and the intense discussions with students, including Arno Motulsky, (Member of the US National Academy of Sciences, Founder of the field of pharmacogenetics), Webster Cavenee, (Member of the US National Academy of Sciences, Past-President of the American Association for Cancer Research), Walter Bodmer, (Fellow of the UK Royal Society, Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of Sciences, Former Director-General of the UK Imperial Cancer Research Fund) and etc.

Those who attend the symposium and short course will not fail to go away informed and inspired.
